Ketamine-Assisted Group Therapy Experiential for Clinicians

This experiential offering and training is designed for licensed clinicians who are curious about psychedelic-informed therapy and want to experience a short-format ketamine-assisted process firsthand before introducing it into their clinical work.

In my own practice, I’ve found that ketamine-assisted sessions can help clients access deeper layers of insight, emotional processing, and embodied awareness. Before offering this modality to clients, many clinicians find it valuable to experience the full process themselves — including assessment, preparation, the journey itself, and integration.

This experiential allows you to step into the complete arc of ketamine-assisted therapy from the participant’s perspective, offering an embodied understanding that cannot be gained through training alone

Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) - Susan Regan, MFT, Depression, Anxiety, PTSD, Chronic Pain

What is Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP)?

KAP is a powerful therapeutic method that combines low-dose ketamine with psychotherapy to provide a safe and supportive environment for clients to explore their thoughts and emotions. It has shown profound benefits for individuals dealing with conditions such as:

• Depression
• Anxiety
• PTSD
• Chronic pain

By temporarily altering neural pathways, ketamine helps clients gain new perspectives and insights, which can accelerate healing and result in significant therapeutic breakthroughs.

Is Ketamine Safe?

Ketamine has a long history of use in medical settings, particularly in anesthesia and pain management. In ketamine-assisted psychotherapy, the medication is used at sub-anesthetic doses and within a carefully structured clinical framework.

As part of this experiential, safety is emphasized at every stage — including clinical screening, preparation, medication coordination, and supported integration — allowing participants to engage with the process in a contained and professionally guided environment.

Why Experience Ketamine-Assisted Therapy as a Clinician?

For many clinicians, understanding ketamine-assisted therapy is best achieved through direct experience rather than theory alone. Participating in the process offers insight into the emotional, somatic, and perceptual dimensions clients may encounter, as well as the pacing and arc of a ketamine-assisted session.

Experiencing the modality from the participant’s perspective can support more ethical, attuned, and informed clinical integration, particularly for clinicians considering incorporating psychedelic-informed approaches into their work.
